About Us

Medical Capital Management, Inc. (MCM) is an Atlanta, Georgia-based private equity boutique and Management Service Organization (MSO) founded by an MD. MCM is singularly focused on opportunity in the U.S. healthcare industry. MCM provides capital to qualified healthcare ventures from Pre-seed to Late-stage funding rounds.

MCM Mission

Our Mission is to fund the disruption of the expensive and ineffective pharmaceutical-driven fee-for-service medical paradigm currently utilized in the U.S. to treat chronic disease and replace it with a cost-effective fee-for-value holistic medical paradigm that achieves optimal health in a time-efficient manner while honoring the Patient-Physician relationship.

MCM STRATEGY

MCM invests in value-based healthcare initiatives that contribute to the effective treatment of chronic disease. New and innovative value-based medical business models have proven to generate greater market value and deliver better care and outcomes for individuals suffering from chronic disease as contrasted to the current model. Common among these new business models is their emphasis on Functional and holistic healthcare for the effective identification and treatment of the root causes of chronic disease.

MARKET OPPORTUNITY

Annual healthcare costs are rising at 2x the rate of inflation. The annual economic impact on the U.S. economy of the most common chronic diseases is calculated to be $1.3 trillion, which reportedly could balloon to nearly $6 trillion by the middle of the century. In 2019, healthcare costs represent 17% of the GDP. It is estimated that by 2023 U.S. healthcare costs will represent 20% of the GDP ($4.2T). The U.S. spends more in healthcare dollars than any other nation yet ranks 37th globally (between Costa Rica and Slovenia) in terms of clinical outcomes (morbidity and mortality) and patient satisfaction.

CHRONIC DISEASE

Chronic disease is endemic in the U.S. as it afflicts more than 40% of the general population. One hundred thirty million (130,000,000) Americans suffer from chronic diseases such as arthritis, auto-immune disorders, cancer, Candida overgrowth, cardiovascular disease, depression, diabetes, eczema, food sensitivities, gastric reflux, hormonal imbalances, hypertension, hypothyroidism, IBS, insomnia, migraine headaches, obesity, osteoporosis and seasonal allergies, among others. Nearly one-third of young adults aged 18-44, two-thirds of adults aged 45-64 and over 80 percent of those over age 65 suffer from at least one chronic disease.

THE DILEMMA

The current fee-for-service (FFS) U.S. healthcare model is based primarily on the over prescription of exorbitantly priced pharmaceuticals that are utilized primarily to mask the symptoms of the aforementioned chronic diseases rather than treating their underlying root causes. This current FFS system is economically unsustainable and is likely to implode within the next decade. The solution to this dilemma is the market disruption of the FFS paradigm and the implementation of a fee-for-value (FFV) Functional healthcare model that can effectively and inexpensively identify and treat the root causes of chronic disease

THE VALUE

The “value” in value-based healthcare (FFV) is derived from measuring health outcomes against the cost of delivering those outcomes

SERVICES

Medical Capital Management, Inc. was founded in 2017 by Viktor Bouquette, MD. MCM has $200M+ under management that is earmarked to fund varied healthcare initiatives that are instrumental components in the effective treatment of chronic disease via a holistic Functional approach.
